Congratulations to the Champion Update team on another epic rework! Had the honor of doing the new base as well as updating the swords and wings on his skins catalog!
Shoutouts to the yung gun David Ko for his help and collaboration throughout the whole project, Hunter Gage for the 3d support, and to Josh Smith and the illustration team for getting me through yet another splash I didn't think I could finish. Hope you like~!

Final Splash
had fun being more loose and expressive during thumbnail stage,
going for a grandiose, almost religious tone, as if we're seeing the image as told through story and legend
I think this process gif adequately describes my deteriorating mental state while working on this splash...
an image writhing its way into existence against its will ^^;
earlier version I liked, depicting a more Berserk Eva kind of vibe, but it was hard to read Aatrox's iconic shapes.
Still wondering if I could have stayed a little closer to the saturation and value control I had at this stage
